Coastal, Woodland Garden Weddings In Pembrokeshire

We Make Your Special Day

Monk Haven Manor is set within 20 acres of an ancient wooded valley in the Coastal National Park of Pembrokeshire. We are an idyllic and excitingly versatile venue specialising in bespoke outdoor celebrations.

If you are looking for something unique and extra-special, then Monk Haven Manor could be the ideal place you have been searching for.

The old and established grounds are surrounded by woodland, with wild-flower gardens drenched in ferns, pink campion, primroses, foxgloves and bluebells.

ROMANTIC & MAGICAL

Discover the magical hidden features such as ivy-covered follies, the historic walled garden, our pretty pond and the secret cove of Monk Haven. Imagine the enjoyment and the creativity you can have incorporating these into your day.

One of the fantastic aspects of Monk Haven is the pretty medieval church of St Ishmael’s. As the church is onsite, it’s just a simple walk from the ceremony to your reception.

Or perhaps you would like to have the ceremony within the gardens of Monk Haven, surrounded by the lush green valley and the sound of the gentle brook.

Monk Haven has significant room for a marquee, stretch tent or tipi within the sheltered stone-walled garden. This also has amenities, catering facilities and an outdoor bar.

Our beautiful accommodation will be just what your guests’ need if travelling from distances to attend the wedding. 18 guests can be accommodated in a range of rooms from our cottage with the hot tub, to the shepherd’s hut with sea views.

Here at Monk Haven we will enjoy your journey with you and endeavour to create your vision. Our venue has so much to offer that you can be as creative as you wish. Our relaxed and flexible approach will ensure that you enjoy the freedom to plan out all of your wedding ideas.

The Valley of Monk Haven

The wooded valley of Monk Haven leads down to the Pembrokeshire coast path. In this picture you can see the folly on the cliff which is a stunning site for photos with the back drop of the blue sea.

The walled garden is perfect for marquees as it is so sheltered. It’s a definite sun trap! The pond you can see brings a special touch to the walk to the beach. This is also a fabulous spot for photo opportunities, surrounded by the lush green of the woods. The woods themselves hold an array of opportunities for your imagination to go crazy thinking about how you may utilise them!

The sweet cove of Monk Haven is of course a wedding photographers dream, with a high and dramatic red-sandstone wall.

St Ishmael's Church

You can see the beautiful medieval church of St Ishmael’s, set within the valley itself and just a stones-throw from the reception venue. The onsite accommodation is also perfect for your most important family and friends of course. In the first picture (just out of shot!) in the top field to the left, is our Shepherd’s Hut with sea views. This could be the perfect place for you to escape to after the festivities, to relax together and think back on your fabulous day!

"A lovely place to stay, and a very warm welcome. Amazing location, and just a short walk through the woods to the beach. It was early in the season, but we visited it 3 times and never saw another soul there. It was lovely to be able to use the hot tub on the cold nights staying in The Apple Store and then head back in to the warmth of the log burner. Perfect end to end winter and start Spring. Breakfast was absolutely perfect. Glamorgan sausage were hands down the best I've ever had, and I've tried a lot!! Homemade bread and marmalade were also spot on. Was lovely chatting to the effervescent Jo, and it was like saying goodbye to a new friend when we left, after just two night. Will definitely return."

"Country hideaway - We spent 2 nights in October here. The rooms are spacious and very comfortable. The team so friendly and helpful. lovely touches like fresh milk for the tea in the room. The location is quiet and picturesque. I would highly recommend this for a country retreat."

"You will not be disappointed 5 star all the way - A superb 2 day break in early September in "The Apple Store",a cosy cottage type accommodation ,with all amenities including a hot tub,set in the grounds away from the main house. A charming breakfast room and the highlight of the stay without doubt was wonderfully cooked breakfast, locally sourced produce, homemade and gluten free options, fresh fruit ,an absolute delight. Jan the owner was a marvellous host(and cook)informative and ably assisted by Jo. The location is very tranquil and quiet, it a 5 minute walk to the sea and costal paths, ideal to explore the magnificent Pembrokeshire countryside. Highly recommended"

"Totally relaxing - We stayed for two nights in The Apple Store and have never felt so relaxed before. We were warmly welcomed as were our dogs, if our dogs are happy we can properly relax. The accommodation was clean and cosy, well-equipped and the hot tub is huge and such a luxury. We had a hamper on one evening which was delicious. Breakfast was very tasty too. We absolutely enjoyed everything about our stay but the things that stand out are the magical location, like some lost valley from a fairy tale and the friendly welcome together with all the finishing touches. We are returning very soon."

"Family stay for 2 nights - just before Bank Holiday weekend 2018 - Wonderful stay at Monk Haven Manor. We were met by the friendly Jo who settled us in to our accommodation and gave us tips on the things we had planned to do. Well-appointed en suite rooms in the grounds and a delicious breakfast each morning which your order by 8pm the night before. Much of the breakfast is home-grown/home made so it really is top-notch! Lovely grounds and tranquillity. We ate out on Night 1 in Dale and Night 2 in Little Haven. MAKE SURE YOU BOOK IN ADVANCE when eating out! Thanks again Jo - keep up the great work and hope the Wedding Venue idea goes well."

"Perfect place to stay - Stayed for 2 nights in Brynach a lovely large room with a little patio and stunning views over the gardens and wooded valley. Everything about this place is just perfect, the setting, the breakfast, the peaceful ambience, the convenience for great places to visit, the walkable local pub, cove and coastal path.....and most of all the lovely Jo, the front of house star! Don't often go back to where we've been before but will certainly come back here"
